 MaRRS International Spelling Bee is the first and largest English Competition in Asia for school children.  Conceived as a self motivated learning programme, it helps students to improve their communication skills and confidence by enriching their vocabulary.

The various rounds of the contest assess their spelling, pronunciation and vocabulary skills. The compulsion to excel comes from within, which is the sole intention of this self motivating programme, focusing on a self -based learning.

The Sixth International Championship of the MaRRS International Spelling Bee was held at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, India on 6th July,2014.

More than 500 children, studying in class 1-12 participated in the competition.

Children from various schools spread across India, UAE and Kuwait participated in the Championship.

  Mst. Shreeyam Bangera from class 3 has made his School proud for having won the third place at international level in Category 1.

He went through different rounds (oral & written) starting from School level and progressing to International level  through Inter-School and State level .He was 9th Ranked at State level ,Buddy Star at National level and finally 3rd Prize winner at international level wherein he got a trophy, a certificate and scholarship of $ 1111/-

His parents proudly state that the experience throughout the journey has been amazing and full of excitement for Shreeyam as well as  forthem as parents.

They feel that his communication skills, vocabulary, pronunciation and usage of English language has been enhanced by this competition. He was extremely confident and showed no signs of nervousness throughout the competition. This they believe has been possible because of his hardwork and the dedicated teaching of English at his School-St. Francis (ICSE).
