Principal's Message
‘Start by doing what’s necessary;
then do what’s possible and suddenly,
you are doing the impossible.
– St. Francis of Assisi
Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,
As the Principal of St. Francis School, I am thrilled to welcome you to a new academic year filled with potential and promise. As we step into 2024-2025, we continue to build on our traditions of excellence and community, embracing every opportunity to grow together in learning and character.
Our school is known for its outstanding academic achievements, with a notable number of students consistently excelling in their studies, achieving scores of 90 and above. This record of excellence is a testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication of our staff, and we are committed to continuing this legacy of high performance.
This year, we are enhancing our educational offerings even further. Robotics and Coding have been incorporated into the curriculum with ease. Recognizing the importance of physical health and teamwork, we have extended our physical education periods to allow students more time to engage in sports and develop healthy lifestyle habits. We are also excited to introduce new awards that reflect our values and recognize exceptional efforts. These include recognizing students for full attendance, fabulous behaviour, and exceptional reading habits, which highlight our commitment to fostering all aspects of student development.
Moreover, we have expanded the variety of activities available within school hours to include programs that cater to a wide range of interests—arts, sciences, technology, and more. These are designed not only to enhance academic skills but also to enrich personal growth and creativity. This year we will be organizing an ‘Annual School Exhibition’ to help students to present their classroom learning in creative ways. Our robust selection of extracurricular activities such as classical dance and sports coaching continues outside of school hours, offering students avenues to explore further and excel in their chosen fields.
We will be introducing ‘Bagless days’ thrice a year, where academic work will be replaced with various co-curricular pursuits like talent days and some exciting new competitions like Master Chef and Master and Miss SFS. This will offer students a chance to showcase their hidden talents in innovative spheres. Our school will also be initiating the NCC (National Cadet Corps) unit for the students of Classes 8 and 9. In our endeavour to inculcate an essential global perspective, we will be continuing with our ongoing Student Exchange Programme with Germany, opening the window to experiential learning on an international level.
Parents and guardians, your involvement and support are crucial to our success, and I am eager to partner with you once again as we guide our students toward another year of great achievements. Being aware of the crucial role that parents play in their children’s all-round development we have introduced parenting seminars class-wise this year. We hope that our parents will seize this opportunity for personal learning. Collaborating with the PTA body has always led to positive outcomes and this year too, we look forward to another successful ‘Francisian Fiesta’.
To our dedicated staff, your commitment inspires our community daily. Thank you for your relentless effort in fostering an environment where students thrive academically and personally.
And to our students, your energy and ambition are the heartbeat of St. Francis School. I am confident that this year will be another chapter of success stories and cherished memories.
Together, let’s embark on this academic year with enthusiasm and commitment, ready to achieve new heights and celebrate our collective accomplishments. Here’s to another outstanding year ahead at St. Francis School!
